Vulnerability Description | A buffer overflow vulnerability has been reported in Provideo ISSCamControl ActiveX Control. A remote attacker could exploit this issue by convincing a user to visit a specially crafted HTML document or open a malicious web page. Successful exploitation could result in remote code execution on the target system once the malicious page is loaded. The vulnerability is due to a boundary error within the ISSCamControl Module (ISSCamControl.dll) ActiveX control that fails to properly handle malformed "URL" properties. To trigger the vulnerability, an attacker can create a malicious web page that initiates the malformed ActiveX control.
