Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | A remote code execution vulnerability has been reported in CA eTrust Intrusion Detection. CA eTrust Intrusion Detection is a network intrusion management and prevention system, that includes real-time session monitoring and Internet web filtering capabilities. A remote attacker could exploit this issue by convincing a user to visit a specially crafted HTML document or open a malicious web page. Successful exploitation could result in remote code execution on the target system once the malicious page is loaded. |
This protection will detect and block the vulnerable ActiveX Controls.
In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.
