Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | The internet printing service is a component that allows printing using a remote printer in the network. A remote code execution vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft Windows internet printing service. The vulnerability is due to a flaw in the Microsoft Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) implementation on Windows servers running IIS. A remote attacker could exploit this flaw via a specially crafted Remote Procedure Call (RPC) request. Successful exploitation of this issue may allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code on an affected system. |
This protection will detect and block malformed RPC requests sent from the printing server.
