Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | OpenView product consists of a suite of network and systems management software applications that include hundreds of optional modules and components. A buffer overflow vulnerability was reported in HP OpenView products OVTrace server. The vulnerability is due to a boundary error in HP OVTrace server that fails to properly process trace requests. In order to exploit this vulnerability, an attacker can send a specially crafted trace request to a vulnerable server. Successful exploitation may allow the attacker to inject and execute arbitrary code on the target system. |
