Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | Trend Micro OfficeScan is a centralized virus and security scan management system. A buffer overflow vulnerability has been reported in Trend Micro OfficeScan. The vulnerability is due to a boundary error in the OfficeScan ActiveX control objRemoveCtrl. To trigger this issue, an attacker may create a malicious web page that will exploit this vulnerability by passing overly long properties to the affected ActiveX control. Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code on a vulnerable system. |
This protection will detect and block the vulnerable ActiveX control.
