Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.3.2 and prior
Vulnerability Description A directory traversal vulnerability exists in several products including Novell ZENworks Configuration Management and web servers working with PHP 5.0.2 and below. The vulnerability is due to incorrect handling of the Content-Disposition MIME header. Remote unauthenticated attackers can leverage this vulnerability to upload malicious files anywhere onto the target server. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the vulnerable system with administrative privileges.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R81 / R80 / R77 / R75

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Multiple Products Arbitrary File Location Upload protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all Security Gateways.

This protection's log will contain the following information:

Attack Name:  Web Server Enforcement Violation.
