Vulnerability Description | Microsoft provides server and client side implementations of email protocols such as SMTP, POP3 and IMAP. The widely used Microsoft Outlook product is an implementation of an email client capable of handling most standard Internet protocols as well as numerous proprietary Microsoft protocols and formats. There is a vulnerability in the Microsoft Outlook. The vulnerability is due to a lack of validating certain parameters passed to Outlook via crafted URI. Successful exploitation may lead to arbitrary script execution in the Local Machine zone on a vulnerable system. |
