Who is Vulnerable?
Vulnerability Description While rendering a normal image with excessively large resizing parameters in an HTML page, numerous applications could cause a infinite loop in the FrameBuffer display driver of Windows and eventually crash the system, leading to a Denial of Service condition. When a malicious document is received and rendered, the target system will stop responding to user input (e.g. mouse movement, keyboard input, etc.) for a period of time. Windows systems might crash and reboot or hang when the system watchdog detects an infinite loop in the framebuf system driver.
