Vulnerability Description | The W3Who dynamically linked library (DLL), when used in the context of an IIS HTTP server, provides various information about the current HTTP client, as well as the current running environment. It is included with the Internet Services Application Programming Interface (ISAPI) and is meant to be used as a debugging and information tool for troubleshooting client connections. There exists a buffer overflow vulnerability in the W3Who library, which is part of the Microsoft Internet Server Application Programming Interface (ISAPI). The flaw is caused by a lack of sanitization of the parameters passed to the library as CGI variables. An attacker may exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on the target system with the same privilege level of the IIS out-of-process administrator account. Not available. |
