Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | A memory corruption vulnerability exists in Alt-N Technologies MDaemon WorldClient. The vulnerability is due to a NULL pointer dereference in processing a malicious HTTP POST request. A remote unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted request to the target server, causing the server to crash thereby resulting in a denial of service. Upon processing malicious HTTP POST messages, the WorldClient process will terminate, which triggers a Denial of Service condition. Note that this process automatically restarts to resume the normal operation. |
