Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | Adobe Flash Player is a multimedia player for viewing animations and movies. Flash Player runs the Shockware Flash (SWF) files, which contains multimedia content including vector and raster graphics, video, audio, and scripts. Flash Player is made available as a plug-in for a wide range of web browser applications. An integer overflow vulnerability exists in Adobe Flash Player. The vulnerability is due to lack of validation for the size of an interface array, 'intrf_count', before using it in an arithmetic operation. This leads to memory corruption and can allow for arbitrary code execution. In an attack scenario, where arbitrary code is injected and executed on the target system, the behavior of the target is dependent on the intention of the malicious code. The injected code will be run with privileges of the currently logged on user. In an attack case where code injection is not successful, the affected application will terminate abnormally causing a denial of service condition. |
