Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | An integer overflow vulnerability exists in Microsoft Windows GDI+. The vulnerability is due to lack of input validation when Microsoft Windows GDI+ handles PNG files. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by enticing the target to open a specially crafted PNG file. Successful exploitation would allow for arbitrary code injection and execution in the security context of the logged in user. In such a case, the behavior of the target is dependent on the intention of the malicious code. In the case where code execution is not successful, the application may terminate abnormally. |
