Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | MySQL is a popular open-source implementation of a relational database that supports the Structured Query Language (SQL) for querying and updating stored data. A denial of service vulnerability exists in Oracle MySQL database server. The vulnerability is due to an error while handling joins involving a table with a unique SET column. A remote attacker may exploit this vulnerability by sending malicious command packets to the server that causes a join with aforementioned condition. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability would cause the target server to terminate, denying service to all users until the server is restarted. |
