Vulnerability Description | Oracle WebLogic Server is an enterprise-class Java Application Server platform. WebLogic is typically used as the platform for large enterprise web applications. Oracle WebLogic Server contains the Node Manager utility. Node Manager can be used to start, stop and restart Administration and Managed Server Instances from a remote location. A command execution vulnerability has been reported in Oracle WebLogic Server's Node Manager utility. The vulnerability is due to the fact that certain script execution functionality of the Node Manager utility can be accessed remotely without authentication. A remote attacker can leverage this issue by sending a crafted message to the vulnerable process on port 5556/TCP. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could result in execution of arbitrary commands within the security context of the target process. |
