Vulnerability Description | Mozilla Firefox and Seamonkey are popular open source web browsers from Mozilla Foundation. A heap buffer overflow vulnerability has been reported in Mozilla Firefox and SeaMonkey products. The vulnerability is due to improper processing of a crafted substring when performing the replace operation in Javascript. A remote attacker can exploit this issue by enticing target users to visit a malicious web page. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability can lead to arbitrary code execution with the privileges of the logged in user and may cause the web browser to terminate abnormally. |
