Vulnerability Description | Microsoft Collaboration Data Objects (CDO) are a set of COM objects made for the IIS SMTP service and Exchange servers that provide the ability to build messaging and collaboration applications. A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in Microsoft Collaboration Data Objects. The vulnerability is caused by insufficient verification of an overly long header name. A remote attacker could trigger this flaw just by sending the victim a malicious SMTP message. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could create a denial of service. |
