Vulnerability Description | CA Internet Security Suite is a comprehensive home and office security system that protects against viruses, hackers, spam, and other online threats. An insecure file creation vulnerability exists in CA Internet Security Suite. The vulnerability is due to a design weakness in the XMLSecDB.DIParser ActiveX control that allows for creation of files with partially controlled content to be placed in arbitrary locations on the target host. A remote attacker could trigger this flaw by convincing a victim to open a malicious HTML document. Successful exploitation could possibly allow attackers to execute arbitrary code within the context of the current user. |
This protection detects and blocks the vulnerable ActiveX control.
