Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | The Windows kernel is the core of the operating system. It provides system-level services such as device management and memory management, allocates processor time to processes, and manages error handling. A remote code execution vulnerability exists due to the way that the Windows kernel-mode driver improperly parses specially crafted OpenType fonts on 64-bit systems. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could run arbitrary code in kernel mode. An attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights. |
