Vulnerability Description | An integer overflow vulnerability has been reported in Adobe Reader and Acrobat. The vulnerability is due to an integer overflow error in ICC data within Adobe Reader and Acrobat while parsing the ProfileDescriptionTag structure within ICC streams. A remote attacker might exploit this issue by convincing a victim to open a malicious PDF file that contains malformed ICC data. Successful exploitation will create a denial of service condition, causing the application to become non-responsive, and may allow execution of arbitrary code once a malicious PDF file is loaded on a vulnerable system. |
This protection will detect and block the transferring of malformed PDF files over HTTP.
