Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | A directory traversal vulnerability has been reported in HP Data Protector's backup client service. HP Data Protector is an automatic data backup and recovery software solution, for applications in both physical and virtual environments. The vulnerability is due to insufficient sanitization in the service, specifically while handling GET_FILE type messages. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted request to an affected server. Successful exploitation may allow an attacker to retrieve or view arbitrary files from the affected target server. |
