RealNetworks Helix Server 14.x prior to 14.3
Vulnerability Description A denial of service vulnerability has been reported in RealNetworks Helix server.
Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to the improper handling of specially crafted AgentX Open-PDU requests by the SNMP Master Agent process. A remote attacker can exploit this issue by sending a specially crafted request to an affected server. Successful exploitation would cause the server to crash, resulting in a denial of service condition.

Protection Overview

This protection will detect and block the transferring of a malicious request to the target server.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R75 / R71 / R70

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the RealNetworks Helix Server SNMP Master Agent Open-PDU Denial of Service protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
