Vulnerability Description | A remote code execution vulnerability has been reported in the Squid proxy server. |
Vulnerability Details | The vulnerability is due to an error while processing certain DNS replies. An attacker may exploit this issue by enticing affected users to open a link containing a host name, which will cause a malicious DNS reply. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the security context of the logged-in user, or result in a denial of service condition. |

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.
1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Squid DNS Replies Invalid Free Code Execution protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings. 2. Install policy on all modules.
