    Vulnerability Description A reflected XSS vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft SQL Server Report Manager.

    Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to improper request parameter validation by the affected application. A remote attacker can exploit this issue by enticing a target user to click on a specially crafted link. Successful exploitation would allow an attacker to inject a client-side script into the target's instance of Internet Explorer. The attacker could then spoof content, disclose information, or take any action that the user could take on the site on behalf of the victim.

    This protection will detect and block attempts to exploit this vulnerability.

    In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

    Security Gateway R75 / R71 / R70

    1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Microsoft SQL Server Report Manager Elevation of Privilege (MS12-070) protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
    2. Install policy on all modules.
