    Vulnerability Description An information disclosure vulnerability has been reported in the Microsoft Anti-Cross Site Scripting (AntiXSS) Library.
    Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to the way the AntiXSS Library incorrectly evaluates certain characters after a CSS escaped character is detected. A remote attacker may exploit this issue by sending a specially crafted HTML to a target website that is using the sanitization module of the AntiXSS Library. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to expose sensitive information not intended to be disclosed.

    Protection Overview

    This protection will detect and block the transferring of specially crafted HTML.

    In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

    Security Gateway R75 / R71 / R70

    1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Microsoft AntiXSS Library Bypass Information Disclosure (MS12-007) protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings. 2. Install policy on all modules.
