Who is Vulnerable? Novell GroupWise Internet Agent 2012
Novell GroupWise Internet Agent 8.0.2 and prior
Vulnerability Description An integer underflow vulnerability has been reported in Novell GroupWise Internet Agent.
Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of a certain value in HTTP requests. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a maliciously crafted HTTP request to the target server. Successful exploitation would result in code execution in the security context of the affected server.

Protection Overview

This protection will detect and block the transferring a maliciously crafted HTTP request to the target.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R75 / R71 / R70

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Novell GroupWise Internet Agent Content-length Integer Overflow protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
