Vulnerability Description | A memory corruption vulnerability has been reported within Apple WebKit, a component of Apple Safari and Google Chrome web browsers and Apple iTunes. |
Vulnerability Details | The vulnerability is due to an error in Apple Webkit while handling certain display properties within the ruby:before and ruby:after style sheet blocks. A remote attacker may exploit this vulnerability by enticing a target user to open a specially crafted web page. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the security context of the logged on user. |
This protection will detect and block attempts to open a malicious ruby code web-page.
In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.
1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Google Chrome and Apple Safari Apple Webkit Ruby Memory Corruption protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings. 2. Install policy on all modules.
