Vulnerability Details | The vulnerability is due to an error in the way that the msvcrt.DLL calculates the size of a buffer in memory, allowing data to be copied into memory that has not been properly allocated. A remote attacker may exploit this issue by enticing a target user to visit a web-page containing a specially crafted media file. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to take complete control of an affected system, in the security context of the logged on user. |
