Vulnerability Description | An information disclosure vulnerability has been reported in SSL 3.0 and TLS 1.0 encryption protocols. |
Vulnerability Details | The vulnerability is caused due to a design flaw in the SSL and TLS protocols when Cipher-block chaining (CBC) mode of operation is used. The vulnerability affects the protocol itself and is not specific to the Windows operating system. Remote attackers may exploit this issue by rapidly sending a large number of SSL and TLS requests to the server. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to decrypt portions of encrypted web traffic, resulting in the disclosure of sensitive information. |
