Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | An SQL injection vulnerability has been reported in HP Data Protector Notebook Extension and HP Data Protector for Personal Computers. The vulnerability is due to insufficient sanitation of the user supplied userid parameter in SOAP requests to the LogClientInstallation web method. A remote attacker may exploit this issue by sending specially crafted SOAP requests to an affected HP Data Protector product. Successful exploitation could result in the disclosure of sensitive information, data manipulation, or possibly command execution. |
