Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | A remote code execution vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft Windows HTTP services. The vulnerability is due to the WinHTTP incomplete validation of a parameter returned by a remote web server. A remote attacker may exploit this issue by enticing an affected user to connect to a malicious HTTP server. Successful exploitation may allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code on an affected system. |
This protection will detect and block specially crafted web server responses.
In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.
