Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | A buffer overflow vulnerability has been reported in Symantec pcAnywhere Host Services. The vulnerability is due to improper bounds checking when copying user-supplied parameters into a fixed-length static buffer of size 0x108. A remote attacker can exploit this issue by sending a specially crafted authentication request to an affected application. Successful exploitation would allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system. |
