Who is Vulnerable? HP System Management Homepage (SMH) prior to 7.2.0-14
Vulnerability Description A code execution vulnerability exists in HP System Management Homepage (SMH).
Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to a flaw when handling the iprange parameter. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a malicious request to the affected server. A successful exploitation attempt could result in executing arbitrary code on the target server.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the HP System Management Homepage iprange Parameter Code Execution protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
