Who is Vulnerable? Apple Safari web browser - all versions
Vulnerability Description A UXSS stack vulnerability has been reported in the Apple Safari webarchive File Format.
Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to a flaw in the security model behind webarchives that allows script execution in the context of any domain. A remote attacker can exploit this issue by sending a specially crafted packet to the target user. Successful exploitation would lead to code execution in the security context of the affected service.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Apple Safari webarchive File Format UXSS protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
