Vulnerability Description | An information disclosure and elevation of privilege vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft SharePoint. The vulnerability is due to an error in the way Microsoft SharePoint handles specially crafted URLs containing malicious JavaScript elements. A remote attacker may exploit this issue by enticing a target user to open a specially crafted web page. An elevation of privilege exists in Microsoft SharePoint Server. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could allow an attacker, after obtaining sensitive system data, elevate their access to the server. An attacker may also be able to issue SharePoint commands in the context of an authenticated user. |
