Vulnerability Description | An information disclosure vulnerability has been reported in Adobe Flash Player. The vulnerability is due to an error while handling specially crafted SWF files. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by enticing a user to open an HTML document containing an embedded malformed Flash file (SWF) with an affected product. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to view personal user information. |
This protection will detect and block the transferring of malformed SWF files over HTTP.
In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.
