Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | An insecure method exposure vulnerability has been reported in McAfee Virtual Technician. The vulnerability is due to exposing the Save() method in an ActiveX control defined in the McHealthCheck.dll, which allows creating and overwriting arbitrary files on the vulnerable system with an XML file. Remote attackers can exploit this vulnerability by enticing a target user to open a crafted web page. Successful exploitation could result in corruption of files which might lead to a denial-of-service condition. |
