Vulnerability Description | A heap buffer overflow vulnerability has been reported in the Linux Kernel. The vulnerability is in the iscsi_add_notunderstood_response() function in the iscsi_target driver and is due to the way a notunderstood response is created after processing very long keys. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending an overly long key. A successful attack can result in arbitrary code execution with kernel privileges. An unsuccessful attack will cause the kernel to crash resulting in a denial-of-service condition. |
