Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | A denial of service vulnerability has been discovered in the SCTP network module of the Linux kernel. The vulnerability is due to improper handling of duplicate COOKIE ECHO chunks in the sctp_sf_do_5_2_4_dupcook() function. A remote, unauthenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending malicious packets to cause a NULL pointer dereference. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could crash the vulnerable system. |
