Vulnerability Description | A buffer overflow vulnerability has been reported in the Microsoft Internet Explorer JPEG image rendering component. The vulnerability is due to the improper validation of user specified data in JPEG image files. A remote attacker can exploit this issue by enticing the target user to open a malicious JPEG image file, which may terminate the browser, or execute arbitrary code with the security context of the currently logged in user. |

This protection will detect and block the transferring of malformed JPEG files over HTTP.
