Who is Vulnerable? Apple Computer QuickTime prior to 7.7.4
Vulnerability Description A heap overflow vulnerability exists in Apple QuickTime.
Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to improper processing of mope movies with an improper jpeg frame size in the stsd atom. Successful exploitation could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the currently logged-in user.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Apple IOS and OSX WebKit Engine Denial Of Service protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
