Vulnerability Description | A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability exists in Microsoft Windows' NFS server implementation. The vulnerability is due to incorrect handling of a non-permitted operation. A remote attacker could trigger this flaw by mounting an NFS share that is exported as read-only and then issue a RENAME command on a file in that share, a NULL pointer dereference occurs. This causes the vulnerable system to crash, causing a denial-of-service condition. |
