Vulnerability Details | The vulnerability is caused when Microsoft SharePoint does not properly handle starting an unassigned workflow. A remote attacker may exploit this issue by entering a specially crafted URL to a system running an affected version of SharePoint Server. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could cause the W3WP process on an affected version of SharePoint Server to terminate, causing the SharePoint site, and any other sites running under that process, to become unavailable until the process is restarted. |
This protection will detect and block attempts to send specially crafted URLs.
