Who is Vulnerable? IBM Tivoli Monitoring Express 6.1
Vulnerability Description There exists a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability in IBM Tivoli Monitoring Express.
Vulnerability DetailsThe flaw is due to a boundary error in the Universal Agent and various other components. A remote unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a malicious input to one of the vulnerable services. In an attack case where code injection is not successful the affected service will terminate abnormally.

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the IBM Tivoli Monitoring Express Universal Agent Code Execution protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
