Who is Vulnerable?
Vulnerability Description A memory corruption vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft XML Core Services (MSXML). The vulnerability is due to a bug in the way MSXML handles HTTP responses. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the affected system.

This protection will detect and block attempts to exploit this vulnerability.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R75 / R71 / R70

  1. On the IPS tab, click Protections, find the protection using the search tool and edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.

On SmartView Tracker:

  1. Click on IPS Blade > All.
  2. Filter the logs by the Protection name
