Vulnerability Description | Microsoft Word is a document authoring product released by the Microsoft Corporation. A memory corruption vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft Word. The vulnerability is due to improper validation of a supplied value inside the Main Stream. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by enticing a target user to open the malicious file that would trigger the potential memory corruption on the client system. Successful exploitation would cause memory corruption in a way that may lead to abnormal termination of the Word application or potentially execution of arbitrary code in the context of the logged in user. |
