Vulnerability Description | Secure Socket Layer (SSL) is a cryptographic protocol that provides security and data integrity for communications over TCP/IP networks. The protocol is considered obsolete and insecure. This protection can detect and prevent connections attempting to use this protocol. In particular, this protection may be used to prevent attacks exploiting the Poodle vulnerability. |
This protection will detect and block attempts to exploit this vulnerability.
In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.
