Who is Vulnerable?	Windows 7 Windows Server 2008 R2 Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2 Windows RT and Windows RT 8.1 Server Core installation
Vulnerability Description	An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists in Windows Components. The vulnerability is caused when Windows fails to properly sanitize file paths. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by tricking a user into downloading a specially crafted application.

Protection Overview

This protection will detect and block attempts to exploit this vulnerability.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R80 / R77 / R75 / R71 / R70

In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Microsoft Windows Directory Traversal Elevation of Privilege (MS15-004) protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
Install policy on all Security Gateways.

This protection's log will contain the following information:

Attack Name: Content Protection Violation.
Attack Information: Microsoft Windows Directory Traversal Elevation of Privilege (MS15-004)
