Vulnerability Description | A remote code execution vulnerability exists in Microsoft Windows. The vulnerability is due to the way Group Policy receives and applies policy data when a domain-joined system connects to a domain controller. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by convincing a victim with a domain-configured system to connect to an attacker-controlled network. |

This protection will detect and block attempts to exploit this vulnerability.Note for R80 and above: Active Directory servers should be excluded from this protection. To do this, use a separate rule for these servers, specifying a profile where this protection is not active. For earlier versions' gateways, add an exception in the rulebase.
In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.
