Adobe Flash Player Extended Support Release version 13.0.0.302 and earlier 13.x versions for Windows and Macintosh.
Adobe Flash Player Extended Support Release version 11.2.202.481 and earlier 11.x versions for Linux.
Vulnerability Description A use after free vulnerability exists in Adobe Flash Player. The vulnerability is due to an error in the way Adobe Flash Player handles the opaqueBackground property setter of the DisplayObject class. A successful exploitation can allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on a vulnerable system.

This protection will detect and block attempts to exploit this vulnerability.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R81 / R80 / R77 / R75 / R71 / R70

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Adobe Flash OpaqueBackground Use After Free (APSA15-04: CVE-2015-5122) protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all Security Gateways.
