Vulnerability Description | A denial-of-service vulnerability exists in OpenSSL. The vulnerability is due to an error in X509_cmp_time() that causes OpenSSL to read beyond the end of a buffer. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted certificate to a vulnerable OpenSSL client or server application. Successful exploitation will cause the application to terminate, resulting in a denial-of-service condition. |
